This post will speak for itself without my help.

herb filled rainboots.
a whimsical garden swing.

Toadstool tea party.

swirly stone benches and climbing ivy.

twinkling fairie lighting.

the ultimate whimsical playhouse for Milo.

gorgeous rainbow mosaic glass garden stones.

fairie door in an old tree.

the ultimate chicken coop.

somewhere to keep cozy.

whimiscal flowers.

bountiful food.

Let's get crafty!

My hubby went and bought one of those awful particle board bookshelves at walmart last year. It is awful - you can see the particle board, the white coating is peeling, it just looks like junk. I guess you get what you pay for, right?

I am working on Milo's playroom, and will also be making that space my sewing area. So I want it to be bright, cheery and full of joy. I need shelving, but that particle board horror is NOT my idea of joy, so I will be re-vamping it!

Here is what I will be doing to it - rainbow-fying! Ours will have 5 shevles, so we are nixing pink. We already have the tester sized tubs of all our rainbow colors from painting our Pez shelves in our bedroom!

(sorry for the awful yellow tones, this was a quick picture of the sling for a buyer)

I will post my tutorial when I get the chance to take pictures, but it is super duper easy and I'm sure you can figure itout - hopefully I can add in some tips on small things to make the project easier. I will be using the shelf for my fabric up top, and milos books and toys on the bottom.

Alright, off to get crafty!

Recipe Thursday

Thursday is recipe day :)

Kevin & I have been on a health kick lately. Broccoli, spinach, kefir, you name it.

Some nights we don't feel like being healthy. Pizza, nachos, wings, you name it.

But a funny thing happens when you decide to eat healthier... all of a sudden the wings feel like a brick in your gut, so it seems much less appealing. This week, I decided I could cook our cheat meal instead to cut some of the grease factor in hopes of not feeling ill after treating ourselves.

Here is what I made!

Baked sweet and sour chicken with fried rice. Kevin and I are huge chinese food fans, but since moving from Ottawa, we have been cursed by bad chinese food at every turn. This recipe was so good, it's actually the best chinese food we've had since Ottawa. Super sweet gooey yummy chicken, and salty oily rice! It was still a rather heavy meal, be fair warned!
